Global Learning Courses
About
As a graduation requirement, students at FIU are required to take at least 2 courses in Global Learning. These courses are designed to develop cultural awareness and help us see the world outside of our own perspective. I am glad that I was able to take courses such as these because they still relate to my interests and I get to learn about different cultural perspectives to the shared human experience.

Artistic Expressions in a Global Society
In this course, I was able to explore different artworks and its global impact while curating a project of mine own on R&B and its international influence. This is an screenshot of a PowerPoint I did for class where I discussed the censorship in the R&B genre of music.

Psychology of Health & Illness
In this class I learned about how our thoughts and emotions can affect our physical health. It also discussed how healthcare is practiced in different cultures. I chose this class because it would be a great foundation for when I interact with patients from different cultural backgrounds than mine.
